May you live your myth in Crete-Because animals don’t!

18 Μαΐου, 2010

Dear visitor to Crete,

I would like to alert you to issues regarding animal cruelty reported in recent years and how you might contribute to animal welfare in our island. We are witnessing serious incidents of animal abuse, including shooting cats just for pleasure and hanging dogs from trees as punishment. Of course, it is only a tiny minority of cretins who engage in such cruelty, as most of us love domestic pets. However, the Greek justice system has never penalised those who enjoy torturing animals. Therefore, if you are planning to visit Crete, I strongly urge you to e-mail our mayors, letting them know of your feelings towards animal cruelty and your commitment to cancel your holiday unless legal action is taken to stop these awful practices.

Below you can find a list of e-mail addresses for your complaints Thank you for considering this issue.
